been making and eating pickles from my cucumbers this summer.......
I was scared of canning at first...
it made me nervous, 
it seemed like a scary process before you know what you are doing...
now it seems so simple.
time consuming, but simple!

  1. Ahhh we made pickles this year too but ours are nowhere near as photo-worthy! Those are lovely! And we also made ruby sauerkraut. . . as well as a wonderful batch of Ginger beer that came out divinely and was so fun to "listen" to as it fermented! Autumn is in the air and all I can think of is apple strudel! Now . . . THAT will be photoworthy and find a place on my blog. :)

  2. I love pickled gerkins - which is weird because I can't stand cucumbers! these look fab and how wonderful to make them yourself from your own crop!
